Leaving Colorado.

Sad to say my first round of Colorado wonderfulness has come to an end. I fly out quite early tomorrow morning, headed back to Texas and the world of dietitian-ness.

Work will be crazy, and I'll miss my husband dearly. But, I have a huge list of things I've been wanting to get done.  You know: Finish learning to play the guitar, Make a quilt, Exercise, Hang out with the new roommate.  Don't worry, I'll share the list soon :)

But I head back to Texas where I'm sure I'll melt, but at least be able to breathe.  (maybe I'll start running with my super human Colorado lung strength?)

Gotta re-check the TSA website before I fly...

Enjoy where you are today... and where you'll be tomorrow.

Bye Colorado. See ya soon :)

Colorado Tourney!

So we have fun up here in Colorado.

It's hard work with all this training and working so we make sure to take time out for a little Volleyball Tourney.  Bratwursts, chocolate fudge cake, awesomely dressed ref and Team Spirit.

Kyle's Team the Purple People Eaters.

Our Director: Thomas in his garb.

Just fun and love.

My injury for the team. Weird mix of rock scratches, burn, and bruise. Well worth it. :)

More to come. You still need to see the view from the lake, view from Windy Point, and of course, cute lovey dovey pics of me and Kyle ;)

Play a sport today, even if you're really bad at it (like me and volleyball ;)

Snow! ... we're not in Texas anymore.

Yep, so I'm sitting at the computer typing this in front of a beautiful scene. I can see the cabins that will be filled with campers in just a few weeks. I can see the mountains that I love so much, that restore my soul. and today... I see SNOW!!

That's right folks, we're finally at Ute Trail to rock out the summer and today it's snowing. Can we still call it 'summer' camp??

Enjoy.

More to come. Really, the snow keeps falling and now pictures would be 10x better... stay tuned! and wherever you are, enjoy the weather... even if you can't drink hot tea while doing it. ;)

I Didn't Tell Her

So I told her that we had a room she could stay in for the summer.

I did not tell her the room looked like THIS:

But, I didn't have to. Because we had been planning on cleaning out the storage, oops, guest room since we moved in last August. And we put on a good playlist, motivated ourselves, and made it happen.

See.

Isn't that impressive. (And we actually cleaned. Not just stuffed things in corners and called it clean.)

'She' is our new roommate. I hope she loves her new room. And I hope she agrees that it's okay to talk about her on the blog, lol. (Maybe she'll be a guest author on the blog this summer!)

Go clean something today. You can do it. Don't tell me you don't have time. I don't either. But you have to make time :)

Falling Off Horses

So you know how you get really excited about working out in January? And then February comes around, March, April, and in May you find your exercise equipment full of dust and your waistline just a bit bigger than last year's swimsuit?

I feel like that's what happened to the blog.

Don't worry. I'm dusting it off and we're back.

It's just that there's so much going on here: my birthday, Easter, Kyle's birthday, Mother's Day and our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!

See so many things. And better yet, we head to Colorado really really soon. And we're getting a new roommate!

See. Now you'll have to keep coming back for all our exciting adventures. I'll try not to let the dust build up again...on the blog, my metaphorical exercise equipment, and of course on my real exercise equipment ;)

Today. Get back on the horse. Whichever horse it was that you fell off.
